Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is with great sadness we would like to inform you that Colin Bunyan, founder of C&P Engineering Services Ltd passed away peacefully on Saturday 15th January at Morriston Hospital, Swansea at the age of 77.

Colin, who is originally from Hartlepool was an apprentice with ICI Billingham and commenced as a mechanical apprentice and changed direction to become an Instrument Engineer.

His work brought him to Swansea in the late 60’s to assist BP Chemicals in Baglan Bay to commission their new plants. In 1973 he decided to setup and build an electrical & instrument design & engineering business, working with customers such as Aberthaw Power Station, Dow Corning, BP Chemicals in Baglan Bay and BP Llandarcy Oil Refinery.

Over the years Colin built the business to service customers across South Wales and throughout the UK. In 2011 he retired and his son, Paul Bunyan became managing director and the company continued to develop to where it is today.

C&P Engineering Services has been in business nearly 50 years which would not have been possible without Colin’s business acumen and sheer determination to ensure the company became a success.

He prided himself on working closely with everyone who worked at C&P throughout the company’s history and will be sadly missed by his family, friends, colleagues and associates.

Rest in Peace forever to a much loved, cherished and well respected gentleman.
