Recognition for Commitment to Training & Development

C&P Engineering Services has recently been awarded a highly commendable award for its consistent commitment to employee training and development at the recent Engineering Construction Industry Training and Development Awards, held by the ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board). The award goes to the registered company of 100 employees or fewer (excluding contractor labour) who regularly and consistently commit to training. C&P were nominated for their commitment to training in the SME Commitment and Achievement Award category and received the runner-up award against two other finalists.

The awards took place on the 26th April at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London and are the first awards held by the ECITB. The event brought together people from across the engineering construction industry to celebrate excellence in training carried out in the UK. Liz Bonnin, BBC’s presenter of Bang Goes The Theory hosted the awards.

According to the ECITB, the rate of training and development, already crucial in this strategically important industry, is set to grow, as the industry grows significantly to meet the demand for new energy infrastructure. The highly skilled workforce will need to increase dramatically over the next 5 – 15 years.

Paul Bunyan, C&P’s managing director commented: “We are delighted to have received this highly commendable award as runners up. It is a credit to our employee’s and their focus on continued learning and growth through training and development. We would also like to congratulate the event organisers and sponsors for an enjoyable and memorable evening.”
