Job Description
C&P Engineering Services Ltd continues to grow, and we’re looking to recruit an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Project Manager, ideally based along the M4 corridor, to deliver projects across the UK.
This is a key leadership role managing E&I projects in both hazardous and non-hazardous areas, from initial site visit through to commissioning and handover, working closely with our site teams, supervisors, designers, and clients.

Technical & Professional Requirements
- Strong understanding of Electrical & Instrumentation
- Proven experience managing projects from design through to commissioning
- Commercial awareness and estimating knowledge
- Ability to technically review drawings, specifications, and test results
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practice
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage multiple Electrical, Instrumentation & Hazardous Area projects
- Attend site to undertake scoping works and define project deliverables
- Prepare quotations, programmes, milestones, and cost forecasts
- Coordinate supervisors, site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and designers
- Manage procurement of labour, materials, and subcontract services
- Prepare RAMS, toolbox talks, work packs, and project documentation
- Maintain budgetary control, forecasts, KPIs, and PM reporting
- Proactively manage variations, delays, and project risk
- Ensure safety, quality, testing, inspection, and documentation compliance
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships
- Mentor junior staff and support ongoing development
- Ensure all as-built, red pen, and final documentation is completed and audited
Qualifications
Essential Competence & Qualifications:
- Electrical Testing & Inspection qualification (e.g. C&G 2391 or equivalent)
- CDM Experience
- Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills
- Experience appropriate to Project Manager level role
- COMPEX Certification (preferred)
Location
- Ideally based along the M4 corridor
- Nationwide travel required to support project delivery
