C&P Engineering Services Ltd are delighted to announce the success of their 2026 Charity Golf Day, held at Pontardawe Golf Club on Friday, 17th July 2026, which raised an incredible £8,000 for Ty Hafan.
Ty Hafan provides specialist care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families throughout Wales, helping families make the most of every precious moment together. The services they provide are invaluable, and C&P Engineering Services Ltd are incredibly proud that the funds raised from this year’s event will help support their important work.
This golf day was C&P Engineering Services’ third charity golf day, and once again brought together customers, suppliers, business partners, colleagues and friends for a fantastic day of golf, networking, fundraising and entertainment, all in support of an incredible charity.
The success of the day would not have been possible without the amazing generosity and support from everyone involved. From the teams who entered, hole and clubhouse sponsors, businesses and individuals who donated raffle and auction prizes, those who purchased raffle tickets, placed auction bids, and everyone who helped create such a memorable occasion, every contribution played a part in achieving this fantastic total.
Thankfully, the weather was kind, and the day saw teams take to the beautiful Pontardawe Golf Club course for an enjoyable day of golf, competition and friendship. A huge thank you goes to Pontardawe Golf Club for once again hosting the event and providing outstanding facilities and hospitality. We would particularly like to thank Geraint Evans, PGA Professional, together with the management and staff at the club, ably assisted throughout the day by Iestyn, for their continued support, professionalism and commitment in helping make the event such a success.
All teams enjoyed a great day on the course before coming together for an evening meal, where the fundraising activities began. The raffle and auction were fantastic successes, with everyone present showing incredible generosity in support of Ty Hafan. A special thank you goes to Phillip Saunders, who did an incredible job conducting the charity auction, creating a brilliant atmosphere and encouraging the generosity that contributed so significantly to the funds raised.
We would also like to thank the Oli & Charlie Duo for providing amazing entertainment throughout the evening and helping create the wonderful atmosphere that made the event such an enjoyable occasion.
Commenting on the success of the event, Paul Bunyan, Managing Director of C&P Engineering Services Ltd, said:
“The success of this year’s Charity Golf Day exceeded all our expectations. It was fantastic to see so many of our customers, suppliers, partners and friends come together to support such a worthwhile cause. I would like to personally thank everyone who took part, as every contribution made a difference, and the £8,000 raised for Ty Hafan is something everyone involved should be incredibly proud of.
Events like this are far more than just the golf. They provide an opportunity for our industry to come together, strengthen relationships and give something back to the communities we serve. We are already looking forward to next year’s event and hope to welcome everyone back for another fantastic day of golf, friendship and fundraising.”
The success of this year’s Charity Golf Day is made even more meaningful by the personal connection many at C&P Engineering Services have with Ty Hafan. We were proud to support our colleague Katie and honour the memory of her beautiful daughter, Harper, who received care and support from Ty Hafan during her life. The compassion, comfort and support provided by Ty Hafan to Katie and her family during their most difficult time highlights the vital role the charity plays for families across Wales, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped raise funds to support their ongoing work.
Following the success of this year’s event, we are delighted to confirm that the next C&P Engineering Services Charity Golf Day will take place on in July 2027 at Pontardawe Golf Club. Planning is already underway, and we have already started taking reservations for teams, sponsorship opportunities and prize donations.
If you would like to get involved in next year’s event, please contact Brad Wood or Claire Cheale, who will be delighted to discuss team entries, sponsorship opportunities or ways you can support this fantastic charity event.
Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who supported the 2026 C&P Engineering Services Charity Golf Day. Your generosity and commitment helped make the day a tremendous success, and we look forward to seeing you all again in 2027.
