C&P Engineering Services, part of C&P Group Holdings recently announced they have become a Bronze Associate Supporter of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE), reinforcing its dedication to investing in young people and supporting communities across the UK.
The recognition applies across the group’s businesses, including C&P Training Services Ltd, and C&P Control Panel Services Ltd, and marks a significant step in the organisation’s ongoing focus on skills development and social responsibility.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is regarded as one of the UK’s most known youth development programmes, helping young people to build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills through a designed framework of volunteering, physical activity, skills development, and expedition challenges. With increasing pressures facing younger generations, including the long-term effects of the pandemic, rising living costs, and growing mental health concerns. The company believes programs such as the DofE continue to play a fundamental role in supporting personal growth and future employability.
As part of the announcement, C&P’s support was formally recognised during a presentation by Alun Wyn Jones, the Welsh rugby legend, most capped international rugby player in history, and a DofE ambassador. He presented Paul Bunyan, Managing Director of C&P Engineering Services, with a certificate acknowledging the group’s commitment to the programme.
The moment highlights not only the consequence of the partnership but also the shared values between the organisation and the DofE, particularly around dedication, teamwork, and leadership.
Paul Bunyan commented on the milestone, saying:
By supporting the DofE, C&P Group Holdings aims to participate to widening access to opportunities for young people, helping them to develop practical skills and gain experiences, and skills, that can enhance both their personal and professional futures.
The partnership reflects a stronger belief within C&P is that investing in people is fundamental to long-term success, not only for businesses, but for communities and the wider economy. By sponsoring programmes that nurture ambition and resilience, the group hopes to play a role in developing the workforce and leaders of tomorrow.
As businesses across the UK continue to recognise the importance of social value and community engagement, enterprises such as this prove how industry can actively participate to shaping a more inclusive and opportunity-rich future for young people.
