C&P Secures High Voltage Contract with Rhondda Cynon Taff Council for Ground Breaking Future Eco Park Development

C&P’s High-voltage division secures contract with Rhondda Cynon Taf Council to build a power network that will eventually supply a ground breaking new multi-million pound Eco Park Development – which would be the first of its kind in the UK

The High-voltage division of Welsh electrical specialist engineering firm, C&P Engineering Services has been awarded the design and construction contract by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council for the high voltage electrical infrastructure required to support the development of a multi-million-pound Eco Park development at its Bryn Pica Waste Management Facility – the facility will be the first of its kind in the UK.

The facility in Llwydcoed. Rhondda Cynon Taf provides recycling services for the County Borough’s residents and businesses, and the Council has ambitious plans to build a self-sustainable Eco Park there. Based on the notion of circular economy, the Eco Park will help turn more rubbish into a resource by collecting and re-using waste materials produced on site. These materials will be reprocessed by companies invited to locate on the Eco Park site. The facilities will benefit from Renewable energy – both heat and electrical – generated on the site. (more…)

C&P Engineering Services Ltd, the electrical, control & instrumentation engineering solutions company has secured significant contracts with Thames Water for the provision of hazardous area inspection & remedial services,

The contracts include the inspection & associated works of electrical installations in hazardous areas across Thames Valley West, Thames Valley East and the Central South regions. C&P has also been appointed to the framework agreement for remedial repairs for electrical installations in hazardous areas.

C&P Engineering Services is currently recruiting for a number of Electrical & Instrumentation Hazardous Area ATEX Inspector positions. Applicants will need to possess a valid and current Ex01-Ex04 CompEx certificate and will need to have gained a specific level of training and qualifications. The right candidate will also have significant E&I inspector experience in either the Oil, Gas or Chemical industry or similar industries. C&P has roles across South Wales and also contracts that would suit applicants living across areas such as Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex.

Purpose / Role
· To preform Hazardous Equipment Inspections to Clients schedule and to ensure compliance with classification and BS EN 60079

While I write this, the world is bracing itself against an international health crisis. As a company, the C&P Group is closely monitoring how COVID-19 is affecting our employees, customers, suppliers, communities and families. We are making every effort to support and comply with the decisions of health officials and the UK government leaders to help contain the virus.

In my recent message I advised of the precautions that C&P is taking to mitigate and prevent the risk of infection. I can only reiterate that we will continue to implement these measures in order to protect the health and safety of everyone and ensure business continuity remains for our customers and the businesses within the group.
