C&P Employee Receives Health & Safety Recognition

David Lougher of C&P Engineering Services has received recognition for his proactive approach to Health & Safety during a difficult and very busy schedule on a recent project.

The recognition was given by Projen as part of their ‘Safety Incentive Scheme’.
The scheme’s aim is to achieve project completion with zero incidents and zero accidents, as well as ensuring that individuals are mindful of their own welfare and others.

C&P Engineering signs ECITB Skills & Training Charter

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering company C&P Engineering Services has signed up to an industry-wide skills and training charter in order to support the sustainability and future of the UK engineering and construction industry.

The skills and training charter formed by The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), is an initiative aimed at developing the industry’s workforce, ensuring that they have the right skill set for the future and for the industry’s changing environment. The initiative is focused on improving and supporting training, development and apprenticeships.

Electrical Services for Wales’ New Automotive & Power System Engineering Test Facility

C&P Engineering Services Ltd were recently contracted to install and commission the electrical capacity for the University of Glamorgan’s Centre for Automotive & Power System Engineering test facility (CAPSE).

The project involved the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of a new low voltage power distribution system within the test facility centre including, sub-mains cabling, power distribution, cable containment, cabling, small power and lighting, relocation and installation of existing test facility equipment, inspection, testing and certification of the new installation to NICEIC standards.

First Minister Carwyn Jones officially opened the new CAPSE test facility on the 5th October. CAPSE, which is based within the Faculty of Advanced Technology within the University of Glamorgan is nationally recognised as the centre for independent research, development, test and certification and has a reputation for cutting edge research and knowledge transfer activities within the advanced automotive and power systems engineering sectors.
