C&P Achieves ISO 45001  – Committed to Workplace Occupational Health & Safety

Leading South Wales Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering Solutions provider, C&P Engineering Services, has achieved the international standard ISO 45001:2018 for their occupational health and safety management system, certified by the global certification body, nqa.

C&P Engineering Services experienced record growth last year since the company began in 1973 and its global operations are managed from their Gorseinon office in Swansea. The company employs around 80 employees and delivers performance-driven critical, Electrical, Control & Instrumentation engineering solutions to local and global industry within the oil, gas, chemical, nuclear, pharmaceutical, steel, process manufacturing, renewable energy and industrial markets.

ISO 45001:2018 is an International Standard that specifies requirements for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system, to enable organisations to proactively improve their safety performance in preventing accidents, injury and ill-health.

The new international standard was only released in March 2018 and C&P has worked hard to gain this accreditation to show their commitment to the health and safety of their employees and clients. The new framework was brought out when 2017 calculations by the International Labour Organization (ILO) showed that 2.78 million fatal accidents occur at work yearly. This means that, every day, almost 7 700 persons die of work-related diseases or injuries. Additionally, there are some 374 million non-fatal work-related injuries and illnesses each year, many of these resulting in extended absences from work. (more…)

High Voltage Power System Upgrade for MOD Site

C&P Engineering Services is in the process of completing major construction on the High Voltage power system upgrade project for Landmarc Support Services and the DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation) at Kirkcudbright Training Centre, Scotland.

Over the course of two weeks, C&P’s HV project team have begun dismantling the main intake substation and are now in the process of rebuilding it at a new location. All cables have been diverted, tested and will be commissioned and energised. Major plant was also delivered from Schneider electric, which included 14 off 11kV transformers of various types and sizes and these have now been positioned at their new locations. (more…)

A Successful Adipec 2018…

C&P Engineering Services had a very successful Adipec this year through exhibiting on the Welsh Government shared exhibition stand, organised by the Department for International Trade, Wales. Throughout the exhibition C&P met with new customers and caught up with existing contacts to discuss how they can help them meet their E&I projects and maintenance requirements.

Visitors to the C&P stand were given demonstrations of C&P’s integrated EC&I project services. C&P would also like to thank Welsh Government for their support, assistance and guidance for doing in business in the UAE.

Tristan Jones, Sales & Marketing Manager said: “We’ve had a very successful ADIPEC. With oil prices on the up, the mood in Abu Dhabi was upbeat with renewed confidence for recovery. C&P Celebrates 45 Years in BusinessC&P Celebrates 45 Years in Business – This month and year marks the 45th anniversary of C&P Engineering Services being in Business. Founded in 1973, C&P  initially focused upon providing specialist Electrical and Instrumentation services to the local oil and gas industry within South Wales.

Since this time the company has now evolved to encompass all aspects of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation services and has developed to become an EC&I EPC and project services company.

C&P now supports customers on a worldwide basis across a wide range of industry sectors, namely the chemical, steel, oil, gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power generation, renewable energy and nuclear industries.
